HCL 4: The Quarter Pounder Finals was the fourth mixed martial arts event held by the Human Cockfighting League. The event took place on Sunday, July 15, 2012 from the Saginaw Discount Tire Center Storage Facility in Saginaw, Michigan. This marks the first ever HCL event to take place outside of their home city of Tupelo, Mississippi.
Event
This event featured six sanctioned mixed martial arts bouts, all of which consisted of three five-minute rounds. All fights on this card were quarterfinals in the Heavyweight, Light Heavyweight and Welterweight championship tournaments.
Canadian Wes Blackwell impressed yet again, in the first welterweight quarterfinal, by defeating the winless Jackson Outcast, who earned a wild card spot for his performance in his debut. However, yet again, Outcast was caught early in the round to find himself on the losing again once more. In the second contest, the impressive knockout power of Rodolfo "Bad News" Cruz was completely nullified by Leo Serengeti, who won an uninteresting, but effective fight.
The third fight saw Christian Sundance rebound from his debut loss to turn up the aggression and ground-and-pound Corgi van de Groof late in the third round for the win. In the fourth fight, Albert Munch completely dominated Xavier Zima for three rounds, winning two 10-8 rounds in a decision victory, setting the first heavyweight semifinal of Leo Serengeti vs Albert Munch.
The co-main event was perhaps the most highly anticipated fight in HCL's short history. In a rematch from their HCL 1 fight, Stuart Peppers knocked out Gabriel Holliday in 19 seconds to advance to the semifinals, where he will take on Wes Blackwell.
Not to be outdone, the main event delivered similar excitement, as Teddy "The Bull" Grabowski's boxing was too much for the unique style of JC Hunite to handle, scoring the TKO victory in the second round.
