HCL 9: Punching Judy was the ninth mixed martial arts event held by the Human Cockfighting League. The event took place on October 7, 2012 from The Happy Horse Rehabilitation Farm in Enumclaw, Washington. This marked the first ever HCL event to take place in Washington state.
Event
This event featured six sanctioned mixed martial arts bouts. All fights consist of three five-minute rounds.
The first fight of the evening saw fireworks from the get-go. Jackson Outcast and DJ Swollen Nipple, both looking for their first win, brought their oddly large fanbases together in a huge welterweight collision. The fight did not last long, as Outcast repeatedly rocked Nipple with wide swinging hooks, only to drop him with an uppercut. Surprisingly though, the finish came as Outcast went for an armbar and tapped out the budding juggalo star.
Two more winless fighters met in the second fight, as Delmar Perkins got the win over klansman Jon-Joe Winchester. Perkins was able to dominate the ground battle with some good strikes, avoiding Winchester's submission attempts. It was an even match, but the Wisconsin native Perkins edged out the decision. The next fight also went to a decision, as Ishmael Bowerstern did enough to gain a unanimous decision over Victor Young.
The fourth fight of the night pitted Salvador "Big" Topanopoulos against beekeeper Alexander Thorax. Topanopoulos was able to use his size advantage to control Thorax on the ground with various takedowns, but the fight ended while Thorax was on top, and was caught with an armbar. The co-main event gave us light heavyweight action between England's Derby Mutton and Canada's Montpelier Nash. After controlling the first round, Mutton was able to withstand a quick flurry from Nash before knocking him out cold immediately after the fight got to its feet.
The main event of the evening saw heavyweights Curtis Prancer and Albert Munch do battle with a shot at champion Leo Serengeti on the line. As expected, these two grapplers took the fight to the ground quickly, with Prancer looking for a quick submission in the first round. Munch, on the other hand, took control in the second round, leaving the fight up for grabs in the third round. The final round went back and forth, until Prancer, with one minute to go, attempted an arm triangle, which Munch escaped. However, that was enough to give Curtis Prancer the unanimous 29-28 decision and a future title shot.
